• Personal details: name, date of birth, gender, education, occupation, and family information provided in your profile
• Contact information: email address, phone number, and WhatsApp number
• Photos uploaded to your profile
• Account information: email and password used for registration

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and display your matrimonial profile on the platform
• To facilitate matchmaking by allowing other registered users to view your profile
• To communicate with you about your account, profile status, and platform updates
• To verify profiles and maintain platform integrity

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your profile information is visible to other registered users on the platform. We may share information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure database storage. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your dashboard. You can request account deletion by contacting us at lagnamanch@gmail.com. Upon deletion, your profile and personal data will be permanently removed.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform. Each service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information:

• Supabase — Database hosting, user authentication, and file storage (profile photos). Data is stored securely on Supabase's cloud infrastructure.
• Vercel — Website hosting and analytics. Vercel Analytics collects anonymous page view data (no personal information).
• Google Gmail SMTP — Used to send transactional emails such as welcome messages and misuse reports.
• India Post API — Used to auto-fill location details from pincode. Only the pincode you enter is sent; no personal data is shared.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session (Supabase authentication cookies). We also store your language preference (English/Gujarati) in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No third-party cookies are set by our platform.

9. Children's Privacy

LagnaManch is intended for users aged 18 and above only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at lagnamanch@gmail.com.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your profile and all associated data (including uploaded photos) will be permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics purposes.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on our platform. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect when the policy was last revised. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
